Since opening as an academy in 2009, overall attainment has improved at both KS4 and KS5. The recent evidence predicts that 2012 will be the most successful year to date in the key indicators of 5A-C English and Maths and 5A-C and 5A-G, which will include The South Leeds Academy exceeding the current national benchmark and standard in the respective measures. Sixth form results continue to improve as our provision grows in partnership with Garforth Academy. A/S students undertake courses in vocational and AS/A2 subjects. The 2011 Post 16 results put the academy in the top 25% of schools nationally with 37.5% of the Year 13 cohort exceeded their target grades. The 2012 predictions are that 100% of students will achieve or exceed their targets.
