Leeds South Food bank

What is it?

A foodbank set up and run by Church’s from across South Leeds, in partnership with The Trussell Trust. Provide emergency food for 3 days and signposting advice to other agencies for longer term support.

 

How do clients access the service?

Clients can only access food by referral only. Referrals are made by local support organisations who issue the client with a food voucher which can be redeemed at a foodbank distribution centre.

To register as a referring agency please contact the foodbank and ask for a Distributor Handbook. Referrals to the same client are restricted to three per year.

 

Where are they?

So Far the Foodbank has two distribution centres open.

  • Belle Isle Family Centre, Belle Isle Rd, LS10 3PG ‎  – Fridays 1:30-3:30

  • Middleton Methodist Church, Hopewell View, Middleton LS10 3TE– Tuesdays 10-12

The foodbank has plans to open further distribution centres early in 2014 in Hunslet, Beeston, Morley, South East Ardsley, Gillderson, Driglington
